Utkala Diwas is a day of great pride for all Oriyas. It's also a day of reflection, when each of us should stop for a moment and look back at our great history, and let our hearts swell in pride for being an Oriya and an Indian.
On this great occasion, we have a powerful literary piece from Arati Nanda, a proud Oriya, from Austria. When I read this poem I was amazed at its simplicity. Yet it was so very powerful. It touches your heart and inspires you. Hope it has the same effect on all of you as it had on me. On behalf of all the members of ORNET, I would like to thank the author for this wonderful piece of poetry. On the occasion of Utkala Diwas, I take this opportunity to wish all the Oriyas around the world the very best. Hope each of us can achieve all their goals in life and in the process do whatever little they can for the motherland, which would make her very proud to have given birth to such deserving children. Thank you.
